David arrived on the Ship Shalimar in January 1859 into Victoria. What he did for the next 10 years is unknown. But at some point he went to Launceston Tasmania, where he met and married Christina BRUMBY. They returned to Victoria after the birth of Emma Blanche, who died in 1871. David and Christina came to WA about 1898. Nothing much is known about David and his family. | DEWAR, David (I000000601984652)

Dear Julie, on reading your info, I notice you make reference to Norma Frips
"House of Ronan", Norma passed her info to maureen so that she can write the
book.
I am assuming that you are from the James (1st son of Michael and MaryAnn)
as you have more information on him included.
We have recently found some church records written in latin and had them
translated by a priest friend. They give mary Ann's parents as Catherine
Brooks and Timothy O'Reilly and Michael's as Honora Cranley and Michael
Ronan. We are hoping this may help in tracking down where in Cork and
Tipperary they came from.
I will get back to you soon, Phyllys. | Ronan, James (Isaac Rownan) Edward (I1911)

Dear Sue,
Thank you for the info on William and Eliza Hunt, I didn't have info of where they came from in England. That helps out with the three children I didn't have.
Do you have info on the second marriages of Ellen and Eliza?
Ellen Booth married second John Brooks Webley and had 9 more children.
Eliza Truslove married Hugh Jackson and had 2 more children.
As all the other info you have seems to match mine pretty well, I thought it must be the computer program that needn't include it. As you have their death dates, I gather you have this information as well.
Edward John Oliver had a family before his marriage to Amy Booth?
I do have a few more things to add, as my genealogy is on another computer and will take a little time to organise. So will sent you a copy to compare a little later.
I have double checked the Ellen Susan Truslove d/o John A & Mary, I can't find any info.so where I got it originally don't know. There is an Ellen Mary Anne which I had, died the same year.
Just before I go, do you know Norma Fripp? She was researching the Fripp Hunt Truslove connection about twenty years ago. I don't know where she lives now but when Gordon was alive they lived in Sorrento.
Cheers for now

E-mail from Enid Bushby dated 14 Aug 2009:
"I went up to the Whitehaven record office earlier this week with our nephew. We found a book recording the 'monuments' from St. Bees cemetery that had been removed when the area was grassed over to make the graveyard easier to maintain. Looking through the booklet I found an entry relating to the Bushby family. It had been added in on a separate page, indicating, possibly, that it had been difficult to read or that it was found after the bulk of the monuments were catalogued. It was number 32 and a gap was left in the chronological order indicating that it was missing at the time of writing.
At the top of the inserted page was written LATIN which one of the staff in the office thought could have indicated that there had been an inscription in Latin that was indecipherable.
Underneath this was:-
James Busby died June 9th 1844 age 47. (Bolding is mine indicating different spelling )
Jane the wife of the above died Jan. 2nd 1875 age 71
Also John their son died Sept 4th 1863 age 28
Also George their son who died March 21st 1907 age 68 | Bushby, James (I513983598)
