Biography |
Immigrated to Australia 1880. Built sandstone house "Claraville" with sons in Wallace Street, Marrickville and named it after his youngest daughter. "Claraville" was demolished c.2006 to make way for units. The sandstone wall still remains. Prior to this, the large family home was turned into a nursing home. James moved to the coutry with lung disease and died in Maitland, NSW, aged 61. |
