Marriage of William Wilkinson (widower, joiner) and Mary Ann Burton - St Mary's Church, Manchester - 4 Sep 1844

Photocopy of the parish register, St Mary's Church, parish of Manchester, County of Lancaster, 1844, page 157, entry 313. Married 4 September 1844 after banns. William Wilkinson, full age, widower, joiner, of 29 Spear Street; father James Wilkinson, porter. Mary Ann Burton, full age, spinster, of 28 Spear Street; father Robert Burton, brickmaker. Witnesses' and minister's names hard to read (perhaps John Brooks and Agnes Rae; minister perhaps Edmund Jones). On this copy the bride's surname could be read Barton, but Joseph Wilkinson's 1847 birth certificate (media 138) gives Burton. William was already a widower: his first wife Ann Finney (married 1829) had died. Entry 314 below (James Hancock x Mary Bryan) is unrelated.
