On 2 Jun 1937 Emily Wilkinson (of 1595 Clay Street, San Francisco) filed an affidavit indicating that the original certificate of birth was incorrect. Correct name of child: Jack Wilkinson (not Jack Wilkins); correct name of father: George Wilkinson (not George Wilkins); correct birthplace of mother: Switzerland (not Germany). Amy L. Roberts (of 1562 Cypress Avenue, Burlingame, California) also signed an affidavit saying the facts were true.

A revised birth certificate, reissued based upon information given in 2 Jun 1937 affidavit. George Wilkinson's age at death at last birthday shown as 41. James [not George] Wilkinson was 40 at the time of his death in 1909. James was also a machinist, but was born in England -- not Australia.
